In this new episode of Real Estate Success Mastery, I discuss with you a book that had a profound effect on my thinking, specifically two quotes that stood how to me in the entire book. Are you thinking like a winner? Are you wealthy? Financially, in your relationships, etc. Do you have the toys that you want? Do you drive the car you want? Do you live in the home that you want? Do you dress the way you want to dress? That’s your physical reality, but all of that is created first by your mental state, what you think about, what you program in your mind.

Hey there Chadi Bazzi here and welcome to another episode of Real Estate Success Mastery TV. Today I want to talk to you about how to think like a winner. This is a book I read maybe about 11 years ago and this book has such a profound effect on me.

You know how there are certain books that you read and there are certain moments you remember and call back? Actually I remember where I bought this book, I bought it at a Barnes and Noble in Palm Desert, California. That day I was with Danny Nurell and his brother Omar, Alex Villasenor was with us and a couple of other guys and we went book shopping because we were at a Real Estate training event. Something about the title “Think Like a Winner” it just got to me, it’s not like anyone recommended this book to me or anything like that, but I just went ahead and picked up the book.

I usually don’t hold on to all the books I buy, I read about 4 books every single week, and the majority of the books I give away but the ones that really make a huge impact for me in my life are the ones that I keep and this is one of the ones that I kept and I’m thinking about what is it that want to talk to you about today. How can I deliver value to you today, and I was really battling between a couple of different things that I want to talk to you about and it really didn’t matter which one I talked to you about the value would’ve been delivered. Right there and then in front of me, this book was right there, moved to the side on my bookshelf and I said, “This is it”.

There’s something about this book, there is two pages that I remember, pages 121 and 120. I’m going to read to you from the book and then expand on it. So what’s on page 121 really made a huge difference on me back then and every time I think about it now it makes a difference for me and everyone that really grasps the concept it makes a difference on them. It says: “You will always bring into physical reality what you first create mentally”. You’ve heard it said many different ways “You bring about what you think about” etc. Watch your thoughts, affirmations, and this is just the reality, the hard truth that most people don’t want to face.

Are you wealthy? Financially, in your relationships, etc. Do you have the toys that you want? Do you drive the car you want? Do you live in the home that you want? Do you dress the way you want to dress? That’s your physical reality, but all of that is created first by your mental state, what you think about, what you program in your mind.

If you sit down right now and for just a few moments identify exactly what it is you want, exactly why you want it, and you create that connection mentally, then that’s exactly what’s going to push you physically to go out there and take the specific actions that you need to take in order for you to produce whatever it is that you want to produce. This is just a reaffirmation of something I’ve been telling you about for a very a long time, something you’ve been hearing all the other people talk to you about.

This is how you create the right belief system as well. First create it mentally, then bring it into your physical experience. Even in sales I talk about this all the time the first step in the sales process is to assume the sale. The sale has got to take place in your mind before it ever takes place in a physical universe. Same exact thing. Page 120 says “You will always attract the people in circumstances that harmonize with your current dominant thoughts”. What is your dominant thought? Is it fear? Is it how am I going to pay my bills? Because there is nothing sexy about that, there is nothing exciting about that.

What is your dominant thought? Your dominant thought is impacting how you feel. If your dominant thought is all about fear, anxiety, stress, and painful situations etc., then that’s going to trigger an emotion, an emotion that doesn’t feel good, and when you don’t feel good, guess what world you enter? You enter the world of tomorrow. What am I talking about the world of tomorrow? I’m talking about: “I’ll just get to it later” “I’ll just do it tomorrow”.

Last week I was talking to one of my coaching clients who was at the time setting an appointment for every 101 people he spoke to and taking a listing for every 72 people. He set a goal for the month of May to take 20 listings so I said, “Ok, well we’ve got to speak to 101 people OR, set one good appointment.” That’s it! 101 people and/or set one appointment. Certain days he is making 100+ contacts, certain days he makes an appointment and doesn’t have to call that many contacts. The reason I’m bringing this up is, I was talking to him last week and he said, “I’m at 70-something contacts, and I’m just not feeling it” and I said, “Well you’re right, if you’re not feeling it, you’re not going to create the result”. So I asked him, “What are you thinking about when you pick up the phone to make the calls?” And he said “I’m thinking about how tough it is and how many hours it’s going to take” and what I told him was, “Exactly what you are thinking is exactly what you’re experiencing, a negative emotion.”

If you’re experiencing a bad feeling what’s going to happen is you are not going to take the specific actions and you’re not going to get the results. One more time, “You will always attract the people in circumstances that harmonize with your current dominant thoughts”. The right people will begin to show up for you. has there ever been a time where out of nowhere, the right person either picked up the phone, called you, or you met the right person at the right time and you were able to transact? I bet every person will be able to say yes. Whether it was on purpose or by default, it had something to do with your dominant thoughts in the moment, day, week, month, etc. It goes on to say “People who go about their day expecting good things to happen literally radiate self confidence, enthusiasm, and a sense of purpose. They attract to them people in circumstances of a like kind and repel people in circumstances of a different kind”.

Another way of saying this is: Like Attracts Like. You want positive people to be in your circle? It begins with you being positive. You want to go to the next level? You need to be around people who are having the conversation of going to the next level. Bottom line is, Think Like a Winner. I am going to recommend this book, I’ve been recommending this book lately. I recommend that everyone reads this book and everyone do what they can do to control their thought process. If you are not happy with your external world (everything that you have created, welcomed into your experience, everything you’ve attracted into your experience), if you are not happy with that then what you need to do to change your physical reality is to change your internal mentality.
