74: The One Page Business Plan to Achieve Your Goals

Do you have a business plan? Are you following the business plan? Maybe you
dont have a business plan. It doesn’t matter, I’m going to teach you how to
put togather a one page business plan that is going to get you excited about
your business and have you doing things that you arent doing now, so that you
can accomplish all your goals this year.
I am going to help you overcome the overhelming that comes with a business
plan. Here is what we know, every single year, people get excited about their
business, they write up a 10 page, 15 page, 20 page business plan, maybe even
less a 5 page business plan and what tends to happen is they never go back to
the business plan as time goes by. They don’t follow their business plan,
therefore they got excited for nothing and did not achieve what they said they
were going to achieve.
Quite honestly, what most people do, every single year when people are going
into the new year, and it is time to create a business plan, they take their
old business plan and just recommit to that. I have a solution for you and the
best solution is, to take that 5, 10, 15 page business plan and put it togather
into a 1 page business plan. Here is what my one page business plan looks like
for my one on one coaching clients.
Starting from the top it basically says “This year I will sell _(blank)_ homes
and make _(blank)_.” The next part basically says, “Achieving this goal will
allow me to _(blank)_.” Achieving this goal is going to allow you to do what?
What is it? See we begin with that question because it is literally the most
important question on the business plan because if you don’t have the strong
desire or you why, chances are you aren’t going to wake up on time or do the
things you know you should be doing to achieve the goal.
So you need to be looking at that every single day and that is why we have it
on one page so that it is easy to look at every single day. So you need to be
able to answer that question. “Achieving my goal will allow me to 1 2 3 4 5.”
I want you to come with five things that achieving this income goal will allow
you to have in your life.
The next part says, in order for me to achieve that goal, I have to put the
following goals in place. So these are the systems I need to have in order for
me to achieve my goal. Is it a database system, lead capture system, social
marketing system, a for sale by owners system, what kind of system is it that
is going to help you achieve that goal?
Part number three of the business plan is the following, “In order for me to
achieve my goals, I must master the following skills. So what five skills you
know, that you need to master in order for you to achieve that goal? I’ll give
you an example, maybe you need to master the skill of having a solid listing
presentation, maybe become a better closer, or mastering handling objections,
in which I recommend you visit www.handlethisobjection.com, or maybe you need
help with NLP. Whatever it is, what skills do you need to master in order for
you to reach your goals.
If look from top to bottom so far, we said number one, “My income goal is that
much and I’m going to sell that many homes,” number two, “Achieving that goal
will allow me to do/experience the following,” number three, “In order for me
to achieve this goal, I need the following systems in place,” and number four,
“I need to master the following skills in order to achieve my goals.”
The fifth part is, “This is what I must do on a daily basis in order for me to
achieve the goal.” So what is it that will be non-negoitable for you day in
and day out, things you know you must do every single day in order for you to
hit your goal. What is it that is non-negoitable for you? For example, for
some of my clients it is, their morning routine, waking up on time and going
through my morning routine. That might be it for you, I don’t know, just
giving you an example. Some say I gotta roll play every single day, some said
I have to work out every single day, maybe making a certain amount of contacts
every single day, whatever it is, you have to write it down on your one page
business plan.
Now the final part of this business plan is, “I will reach this goal, because
this is who I am.” So who are you and why will you reach that goal? I want you
to come up with a small paragraph who describes who you are. For example, “My
name is Chadi, I am a man of discipline that gets done what exactly needs to be
done and when it needs to be. I am a master at my scripts and dialogue and I
practice my skill sets every day, etc. You see where I am going with this.
Once you complete this, your one page business plan is done, print it, frame
it, and look at it every single day and night then guage where you are at and
where you need to be.
I promise you if you follow this, you will reach your goals, and for some of
you even exceed them.
